It’s summer and in Arizona we had a record breaking week with temperatures above 117° for three consecutive days. Throw in one of those being120° and all we wanted to do was live in our backyard pool. Pool days are the best summer days unless you’re mom and have the added duty of making sure everyone stays hydrated, fed, shaded and reapplied with sunscreen hourly. French Vanilla Frappe to the rescue. No, I didn’t leave my children unattended to run through a drive through and grab myself a coffee. However, I did usher us all inside for a few minutes so I could whip up a batch of these cold caffeinated refreshers for the grown ups while the kiddos had an ice cream cone. My easy French Vanilla Frappe Recipehas just fouringredients from Walmart – International Delight® French Vanilla, Reddi-wip®, coffee and vanilla ice cream so I can “Frappe My Way” all summer long.

International Delight creamers and Reddi-wip are stocked in our refrigerator year round. Morning coffee is my thing and I usually alternate between International Delight French Vanilla and International Delight Caramel Macchiato creamers. Reddi-wip is also a favorite in my morning coffee. During summertime, we always have ice cream too. If you don’t have coffee, I’m sure it’s just because you’re in the middle of a very hectic summer schedule and just this morning drank the last cup like me. Odds are you already have everything you need to make this yummy drink.

We love the creamy goodness of International Delight creamers and they pair perfectly with Reddi-wip extra creamy. The whipped topping is made from cows not treated with artificial growth hormone and has noartificial flavors or sweeteners.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup International Delight French Vanilla
  • 2 Scoops Ice Cream
  • 3/4 Cup prepared instant coffee
  • 1 Cup ice
  • Reddi-wip to top frappe(as much as you prefer)

Pour all ingredients except Reddi-wip in blender.

Blend until smooth. Pour into plastic insulated cup. It’s blazing hot outside and you want that creamy cold drink to stay frozen for as long as possible and you’re by the pool with kids playing so avoid using a glass. Top with as much Reddi-wip as you prefer. Add a straw and sip your way through that summer heat wave. Be sure to offer the kids ice cream cones so they don’t ask what’s in mommy’s cup. This one’s caffeinated and not for sharing. Mr. Pink Flamingo water tube might beeyeing your summer frappe in the pool too.

All ingredients were purchased at Walmart in the cooler section.

Other great ideas for your International Delight creamer include Caramel Macchiato Browniesand of course, you could always mix up this frappe recipe by changing the creamer and ice cream flavors.

How are you cooling off this summer?

  1. Sounds like a frappe would be the perfect way to cool off with this heat. We’re heading to Phoenix this weekend and although it’s been over 100 in Los Angeles this week, it’s nothing compared to your kind of heat. #client

  3. This French Vanilla Frappe sounds amazing!! I love making my own homemade frappe’s! (saves so much money) I will stick to whipping up my own whipped topping, my daughter is allergic to corn syrup, and the last I checked Reddi Whip has corn syrup in it. 🙁
